Yep, it's my birthday. So far so good. I haven't seen any new wrinkles and the hair on my chin is still MIA. Oh! I found out Jenny (Bare Sheep YarnCo.) sent me the Chiclets........she's such a sweetheart..........and a gift certificate to Knit Picks so I could do a little fiber related shopping. She has a family like mine. Despite how obvious it is what you would LIKE for your birthday, you invariabley get things you need, someone else thinks you need and you don't, something you can't use at all, something you wouldn't have paid a quarter for at a yard sale, and nothing ever fits even if you did like the style which you don't. Hmmm, makes you wonder if people pay attention or if they've just got their heads up their asses constantly thinking about themselves. Nah, I don't wonder. Anyway, I ordered a yarn meter which I've wanted for awhile and a set of nickle size 5 DPNs for knitting socks...........I love the bamboo but eventually I'm sure they will break, somehow. For my birthday Eric got memory put in my computer so it thinks faster than I do, a 19" flat screen monitor so all the type looks like the large print in the books printed for people with bad vision, and a 1 giga bite memory thingy to use instead of putting things on a disc. Now that I think about it it sounds like maybe he thinks because I'm closing in on 40 a) thinking slower, b) my vision is going and c) I can't remember much of anything. I'll have to ask him about that. Well, I'm going to go and do nothing for a little while before I have to get back to work.
