NEW Fiber Indie eXperience Co-op!!!

Well, there's goo gobs of stuff going on here hence no posts for awhile. I'm working on revamping the website some a little at a time.......there are just not enough hours in the day! Eric is still trying to get Deb Menz's blending hackles done but she will get them in plenty of time for SOAR this year so it's not terribly worrisome. The kids are excited because they've sold some of their batts and spinning clouds and thus earned some spending's amazing how creative they get when they know they're going to get paid for what they make;) Me, I'm doing the usual sewing, making batts, dyeing, and spinning. I got my Delta Jumbo flyer for spinning art yarn from Merlin Tree and it's fantastic!! I'm spinning a thick and thin super coiled yarn at the moment,,,it's awesome!

What I'm really excited about is a new scheme I had and actually managed to get some other indie fiber artists to go along with my plan!! We're planning on having a big drawing with 2 or 3 prize boxes for our customers in September. It really is amazing what we can do when we all work as a team and help one another. Check out our Rav group if you're on Ravelry and if you have an Etsy shop with fiber or fiber related items feel free to sign up for the coop waiting list when we'll be adding new members.

Fiber Indie eXperience is a cooperative of Indie artists who work together for the benefit of the whole by helping, encouraging, and promoting each other. We don’t see ourselves as “competitors in business” but as friends of a like mind with a passion for fiber. Each member has a small business in which they sell their fiber and fiber related handcrafted items concentrating on quality rather than quantity. When you shop with a F.I.X. member you can be sure of receiving a beautifully handcrafted item and all our members genuine appreciation for supporting a fellow co-op member.

“According to the dictionary, ‘indie’ is an informal version of the word independent. Although this definition is accurate, the word has come to mean more. For many, it has come to symbolize originality and forward-thinking. By this definition, indie is any business or designer that is not associated with a large company.”
