BERTHA IS IN THE HOUSE!

WAHOOOO! Yeah, I got my drum carder yesterday afternoon and Katie and I took her for a test drive last night. Katie loves it as much as I do.........she loves playing with color. Eric and Alex decided since it was so sturdy and such a hard worker this tool of mine had to be named Bertha. I don't know where they come up with these names but it stuck. We love love love Bertha! Ethel has been getting a workout almost every day and right now I'm trying to finish up some roving for a shawl before my friend Emily's roving shows up in the mail. She wants me to spin up 8oz. for her so she can make a shawl. Oh! I was accepted in the Indie Vintage Spring/Summer 2009!!!! I'm very excited and it will be great exposure for the Beth1818 shop. Well, I gotta go to the post office and get the kids. Katie and I are going to be sewing tonight and she's very excited...she's going to try her hand at making a pincushion from small bits of color coordinated fabric. Maybe we'll crank out a few more batts too. It really is addictive ;)
